PSJ Publication Ethics Policy

PSJ adheres to principles of honesty, transparency, and responsibility in preparation, review, and publication of scholarly work.

The editorial board follows international publication ethics standards and enforces a common ethical framework for authors, reviewers, and editors.

Any ethics violations are handled through documented procedures with proportionate editorial action.

Authors must present original findings and provide proper citation of all sources used.

Authors confirm data validity, methodological transparency, and reproducibility of conclusions within the study scope.

Authors are obliged to promptly inform the editorial office about detected errors and assist in post-publication corrections.

Authorship is assigned to individuals who made substantial intellectual contributions to study development and manuscript preparation.

Individuals providing technical, organizational, or advisory support without substantial contribution should be acknowledged, not listed as authors.

Author order must be agreed by all co-authors before submission and recorded in manuscript metadata.

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, uncredited borrowing, or other dishonest use of third-party material.

All manuscripts may be screened for plagiarism before peer review and during final editorial checks.

When violations are detected, the editorial office takes proportionate action, from requesting corrections to rejection or retraction.

Authors must present reliable data and analytical methods enabling verification of reported findings.

Data falsification, fabrication, and manipulation are considered severe violations of publication ethics.

Upon editorial request, authors provide supplementary materials confirming the reliability and provenance of research data.

Authors, reviewers, and editors disclose circumstances that may affect objective decision-making.

Potential conflict disclosures are assessed by the editorial office before peer review and, when required, post-publication.

Failure to disclose conflicts is treated as an ethical breach and may result in editorial sanctions.

Editors make decisions based on scholarly merit, reviewer recommendations, and compliance with ethical standards.

Editors ensure fair treatment of authors regardless of institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, or other characteristics.

Editors are responsible for preventing conflicts, preserving confidentiality, and initiating investigations of ethical concerns.

Reviewers conduct evaluations in good faith, objectively, and within the agreed timelines.

Reviewers provide constructive feedback aimed at improving research quality and clarity.

Reviewers do not use manuscript materials for personal benefit or share them with third parties without editorial consent.

Authors may use AI tools for auxiliary tasks (language editing, text structuring) while retaining full responsibility for manuscript content.

Use of AI to generate data, results, or references without verification and explicit disclosure is not permitted.

When AI use is substantial, authors must disclose scope and purpose in acknowledgments or methodology.

The editorial office reserves the right to request clarifications and evidence of authorship when text reliability is in question.

Authors, reviewers, and readers may submit complaints regarding ethics, peer review procedures, and editorial decisions.

Complaints are processed through documented procedures with fact assessment, argument analysis, and confidentiality safeguards.

Following review, the editorial office issues a reasoned decision and communicates it to the complainant in a reasonable timeframe.

If minor technical errors not affecting conclusions are identified after publication, the journal issues an erratum specifying corrections.

When author-originated errors requiring clarification of interpretation are found, a corrigendum agreed by authors and editors is published.

In cases of severe ethical breaches, unreliable data, or confirmed plagiarism, the editorial office initiates retraction with public notice.

All correction and retraction decisions are documented, transparently published, and made in line with international research-ethics guidance.

The editorial office maintains confidentiality of author and reviewer data and manuscript content at all stages.

Access to manuscripts and review materials is limited to participants directly involved in editorial decision-making.

Disclosure to third parties is allowed only on legal grounds or with written consent of the relevant parties.
